The Setup Process
We can have your merchant account set up in a few short steps. Once we have gathered all the necessary information to approve your account, and depending on your business type, you will be approved and accepting credit cards in 1-3 days. 1. What you need to open a merchant account....
- A checking account. This can be a business account, or if your business is not incorporated, it can be a personal checking account. This is needed to both deposit your funds and collect any processing fees.
- No open bankruptcies. As long as your bankruptcy is discharged or closed we can open your account regardless of credit in most cases.
- You will need to be a US Citizen with a valid social security number.
- If you are a mail order, phone order, or internet business, we will need some type of advertising and/or marketing materials. This can be in the form of a web site, ads, flyers, etc.
- If you’re a retail business, we need a copy of a business or occupational license and in some cases another form of advertisement such as a yellow page listing, customer invoice, etc.
- A completed application (see below).
The Application...
We have several ways for you to complete the merchant account application:
- Complete our Online Application and we will contact you with further instructions.
- Contact us using our Fast Help Form and we will contact you by via the method you choose.
- Call us Office at 1-888-355-VISA. We can take the application right over the phone or we can overnight you the necessary paperwork. Once you receive it, you can call our office and a sales executive will walk you through completing it.
Selecting Equipment...
You will also need to select the type of equipment that will best suit your needs. You will also need to indicate if you are interested receiving a free placement, leasing or buying your new terminal. If you currently have your own equipment, we can, in most cases, reprogram it, providing it is compatible with our processing. To see the types of equipment we offer, go to our Product Page.
